Alan Jackson

Alan W. Jackson has over 30 years of leadership, management, and consulting experience, mostly at the managerial and executive levels including positions as CEO where leadership, profit and loss responsibilities, change management, and succession planning have been required. Jackson’s experience in strategic planning, change and project management, organizational change and development, and profit and organizational operational improvement, resulted in significant improvements for organizations. He has a well-developed ability to plan, organize, staff, direct and lead multiple large-scale business enterprises as well as motivate and lead management groups, both operationally and as a consultant. He has a proven record of accomplishment of helping organizations improve their profitability and their operations through sound management techniques. His efforts have result in millions of dollars of real dollar savings as well as soft dollar cost reductions. Dr. Jackson is a recognized expert in future studies, strategic planning, change management, and organizational leadership. Dr. Jackson specializes in service sector businesses, including insurance, professional firms, transportation, education, government, and technology firms. Dr. Jackson has helped clients improve customer service and operating productivity resulting in improved market share and profits. He is a proven leader and understands maintaining project scope, budget, and schedule.

Dr. Jackson worked as a management consultant and owned his own consulting practice from 1991 through 2001. In addition, Dr. Jackson teaches business courses for local colleges and universities. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1968 to 1996. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Walden University, an MBA from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and a Certificate in Management from Creighton University. He is also a graduate of the IBM Business Executive Program.

Frequently asked to give workshops, lunch hour presentations, and seminars, Dr. Jackson was the host of the popular local business radio talk show, The Small Business Hour. Dr. Jackson is a frequent guest speaker at local clubs and organizations including Rotary, Kiwanis, the American Business Women’s Association, Elk’s Club, VFW, as well as many others. He has prepared or reviewed over 100 business and strategic plans for clients. As a strategist, Dr. Jackson has conducted external audits of the macro environment, and has conducted strategic management clinics for small and medium-sized enterprises.

His client list included: ConAgra Foods, Lucent technologies, First Data Corporation, Boys Town, Mutual of Omaha, as well many small and medium-sized firms.

Acknowledged regionally as an outstanding leader, he has mentored and coached many executives, managers, and upwardly mobile professionals enhancing their careers and providing them with tools for success.

Married, Jackson has two sons, and has lived in Omaha, Nebraska since 1990. He serves on several charitable boards, including Globie’s Children’s Fund. He is a member of Mizpah Lodge #302, Tangier Shrine, and the Omaha Valley of the Scottish Rite.
